Bryan Ingham was born in Preston, Lancashire. Studied at the St.Martin's School of Art in 1957-61 with Frederick Gore and Archibald Ziegler, then Royal College of Art in 1961-64 under Carel Weight. Won an Italian Government Scholarship and a Leverhulme Postgraduate Research Award. Group exhibitions included Lords Gallery from 1964, Wills Lane Gallery in St.Ives and New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham. Had a solo show at Graffiti Gallery in 1980, others in Germany, then a series at Francis Graham-Dixon Gallery from 1988. Showed at the Book Gallery, St.Ives in the 1990s. His work is represented in a number of public collections, including Arts Council, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, Victoria & Albert Museum, Dartington Hall and Print Collectors' Club in Washington.
